I am a distant relative of Joyce (both descended from Daniel of Monyash) and indeed went to school with her.
I have not yet read her book, but skimmed through the pages this morning, and was astounded to see a reference to Mrs Ralph Gibbs – my husband’s ancestor. I do not know how she was connected to Lord Sterndale , and wondered if perhaps anyone (other than Joyce !) might be aware of this connection. If so, I could be saved hours of hard work finding out!
